Different membership levels come with different rights and privileges in the Society. All levels of membership may lead groups of various kinds, but not all membership levels may lead the Society. All privileges are afforded to the Full and Full Retired members. Associate Members and Associate Retired Members may not hold elected office or vote for changes to the bylaws in the Business Meeting. Student Members may not vote in the Business Meeting or hold elected office in the Society.
All levels of membership receive four issues of Pneuma (our scholarly journal), our monthly e-newsletter, and a copy of the annual conference program. Membership runs from January 1 to December 31, regardless of the time of application.
Membership payments and/or applications (renewal or new) received during January – September will apply to that current year and, thereby, receive access that year’s issues of Pneuma. Those received after September, will apply to the following year and its Pneuma issues.
All levels of membership are eligible to present papers at the annual conference.
